PORTLAND, Maine — If you’re looking to book a flight out of Portland soon, it’s likely going to cost you more than the average traveler.
According to the latest study by Lending Tree, the Portland International Jetport has seen a massive jump in the average price for a domestic flight.
In January of last year, the average price for a domestic flight out of Portland was around $368.
By January of this year, that number had jumped over 22 percent to $450.
That’s the second largest percentage increase of any airport in the country.
Miami International saw the highest percentage increase, with the cost of a domestic flight jumping nearly 24 percent from $297.36 in 2022 to $368.31 in 2023.
