A suspect has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Fife.
Garry Thomson, 60, was found dead within a property in Guardbridge last Wednesday.
Police Scotland said Mr Thomson was from the local area and his family have been made aware of his death.
Detective Sergeant Kevin Petrie said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Thomson at this difficult time, and we ask that their privacy is respected.”
John Farquhar was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday.
The 57-year-old, from Kirkcaldy, has been accused of murder and theft. He made no plea to the two charges.
Farquhar has been remanded in custody and is due back in the dock within the next eight days.
