A charity shop has asked people not to donate sex toys after recent x-rated donations.
In a social media post, the Barnardo’s branch in Gorseinon, Swansea, was keen to remind people that it is a children’s charity.
It said it had a “range of ages” on its volunteer team as a result.
“We therefore ask that you refrain from donating your used and unused ‘marital aids’,” the branch said in a statement.
Customers were also reminded that the branch has CCTV “so that these items can be traced back to their owners”.
According to the Barnardo’s website, other items its branches can’t accept include car booster seats, mattresses, electric blankets and white goods such as washing machines or fridge freezers.
A spokesperson for Barnardo’s said the charity was “always hugely appreciative of donations from the community”.

“But it’s fair to say that these items aren’t quite the sort of toys we’re looking for,” they added.

“This winter, frontline staff at Barnardo’s will be helping struggling children and families across Wales by providing them with essential items like food and clothing.
“The money raised from our shops helps us to carry on this vital work – so please do donate any clothing or children’s toys you can to your local Barnardo’s store.”
