Police are investigating after shots were fired and bullets hit several cars and an apartment building in Lewiston just days after a mass shooter killed 18 people in the city.
The incident happened at about 9:45 p.m. in the area of 116 Walnut St.
Police said several cars and an apartment building were hit by bullets. They also found numerous shell casings on the ground.
There is no indication that anyone was hit or hurt, according to police.
The incident comes less than a week after a gunman opened fire at Just-in-Time Recreation and Schemengees Bar and Grille in Lewiston last Wednesday, killing 18 and injuring more than a dozen others.
