Gov. Janet Mills will address Maine at around 3 p.m., five days after a deadly mass shooting rocked the state’s second-largest city.
Communities around the state continue to mourn and memorialize the 18 people who lost their lives on Wednesday night at Just-In-Time Recreation and Schemengee’s Bar and Grille, while a number of survivors continue to heal from their wounds.
On Monday, a gun that was found in Robert Card II’s vehicle was identified by law enforcement officials as a rifle typically used to hunt large game. Card, the suspected shooter, was found dead of what are believed to be self-inflicted gunshot wounds, on Friday night in a trailer at a Lisbon recycling facility.
Further details are expected to be released over the coming days and weeks.
