A man was found dead in Westbrook early Tuesday morning.
The body was found about 1:38 a.m at a Mechanic Street apartment, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The death is considered suspicious, Moss said Wednesday morning.
The body was taken to the Maine medical examiner’s office in Augusta, where an autopsy was scheduled for later on Wednesday.
The death remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
