A death under investigation in Westbrook has been declared a homicide following an autopsy.
The victim, identified as 61-year-old Clarence James Pearson of Westbrook, was found dead in an apartment on Tuesday morning, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
While Pearson’s death has been ruled a homicide, the cause of death is not being released at this time. An investigation remains underway.
While officials believe Pearson’s death was an isolated occurrence and do not believe there is a threat to the public at this time, people are cautioned to remain alert to their surroundings.
