An Augusta man was found not guilty Wednesday in the 2019 death of a Richmond man.
He will still spend some time behind bars, though.
The Maine attorney general’s office said Tyon Shuron was found guilty of tampering with a witness.
He’s been sentenced to three years and nine months, but that will include the time he’s already served.
Police arrested Shuron in February 2020 and charged him with the murder of 48-year-old Andrew Sherman.
Sherman’s body was found inside his Richmond home in October 2019.
