A second suspect has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Inverclyde.
Michael Beaton, 35, was found seriously injured on Drumfrochar Road, Greenock, at around 7.20pm on 26 November.
He was taken to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but died a few hours later.
Lewis Wiggins, 22, was arrested and charged in connection with Mr Beaton’s death, and appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Wiggins, of Greenock, made no plea to the charges of attempted murder, murder, and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
He was remanded in custody and is due back in the dock within the next week.

Co-accused Alexander McQuillan, 25, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court earlier this month.
McQuillan, also of Greenock, has been accused of murder, behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, and theft of a motor vehicle.
