A former Kennebec County official has been accused of stalking and copying information from a computer without authorization.
Arthur True, 50, of Albion, who is the former director of the Kennebec County Emergency Management Agency, was charged with aggravated criminal invasion of computer privacy and stalking, according to the Kennebec Journal.
A criminal complaint alleges True intentionally engaged in activity that caused a woman emotional distress. He’s also accused of illegally copying a computer program.
If convicted, True could face up to six years behind bars.
He did not enter a plea Monday.
He’s due back in court in April.
