HOULTON, Maine – Katahdin Trust has partnered with the United Way of Aroostook for their annual workplace giving campaign for several years and this year was no exception. The Bank and its employees have raised a total of $14,000. Funds raised will directly benefit those in Aroostook County who are experiencing challenges and hardships.
“Katahdin Trust and our staff are always eager to help make a difference in our communities. Whether it is by volunteering or donating to local causes,” said Krista Putnam, executive vice president & chief marketing officer at Katahdin Trust.
Katahdin Trust employees pledged nearly $12,200 for the 2023 giving campaign and contributed an additional $600 through their Casual Because We Care program. Employee donations were combined with the Bank’s corporate and in-kind contributions.
“We are fortunate to have partners like Katahdin Trust who are willing to support our efforts,” stated Sarah Duncan, executive director at United Way of Aroostook. “Katahdin Trust and its staff has not only provided us with this generous donation, but they also have dedicated time volunteering for the United Way at many of our events. United Way of Aroostook is a 501(c)(3) organization established in the county in 1957. United Way works in every Aroostook County community to offer solutions to today’s problems and actively seeks donations to be distributed to health and human service agencies and their programs so that they may provide the services needed in the community.
