Bangor police charged a Brewer woman on Friday in relation to a hit-and-run crash on Thursday evening that sent a man to the hospital.
Christy Cote, 46, was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and operating after license suspension.
Police got the report at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Union Street near the intersection of Fourteenth Street. When they arrived, they found the injured pedestrian, a 46-year-old Bangor man, and learned that the driver of the vehicle had left the scene.
The man was brought to a local hospital and was in stable condition as of Thursday evening.
Bangor police released a photo on Thursday of a white car believed to be Cote’s vehicle. They were able to locate and interview her before pressing charges.
