Andrew Treworgy, Associate AIA design professional at Paul Designs Project architecture studio, is representing Maine at the upcoming American Institute of Architects National Associates Committee conference in Memphis, Tennessee on Feb. 2-3.
A proud alumnus of the University of Augusta, where he earned his bachelor of architecture in 2020, Treworgy has been a part of Paul Designs Project since its inception five years ago. He has played a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s identity and has been involved in nearly every major project undertaken by the company.
Among Treworgy was the project leader on the 317 Main Community Music Center.
This project recently received recognition from the American Council of Engineering Companies for its innovative use of renewable building materials, particularly Cross Laminated Timber, which formed the basis for the music hall’s design.
The AIA conference in Memphis promises to be an intense two-day event, featuring comprehensive sessions lasting nine hours each day. Treworgy will be a prominent figure, actively participating in discussions focused on enhancing how AIA handles its associates. Associates, individuals who have completed architecture school but have not yet taken the Architect Registration Exam, play a crucial role in architecture firms, contributing to design and planning.
The National Associates Committee is a member group of AIA National. There is one representative for each state and Treworgy is proud to represent Maine. Treworgy’s commitment to advancing the architectural profession is evident in his active involvement in strategic solutions for the AIA associates, reflecting his dedication to fostering growth and inclusivity within the industry.
