A man driving a Dunkin’ delivery truck crashed in Standish early Sunday morning after he fell asleep at the wheel.
Steven Robert Clark, 53, of Milford, New Hampshire, was driving the white 2021 Chevrolet 4500 box truck on Chadbourne Road, near the intersection with White Bridges Road, about 3:34 a.m. when he struck an embankment and overturned in the road, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash left Clark trapped in the box truck, and once rescuers freed him, he was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said Sunday evening.
Clark was making a delivery to a nearby Dunkin’ store at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
