SEARSPORT — In need of craft-making supplies? Looking to pick up a new skill this winter? Just generally in love with crafting? Make your way to Carver Memorial Library’s Craft Stash Sale! Saturday, Feb. 10 9 a.m. to noon at Mermaid Plaza (1 East Main Street in Searsport). Snow date is Sunday, Feb. 11 from 1-4 p.m.
Our Craft Stash Sale features donated quilting, knitting, sewing, and crochet materials and supplies. Quality materials are specially priced, and there will be super-bargain “By Donation” tables. Please note, we are not taking donations at this time; however, we could definitely use more under-bed storage bins with lids, if you have any to spare.
The Stash Sale benefits Carver Memorial Library. Funds raised will support library programs such as our DIY and Take and Make Kits. The library is grateful to all our volunteers, donors, and shoppers for making this event possible! The venue is courtesy of Searsport Shores Ocean Campground and the Makers Guild of Maine.
Why not make a day of it and explore the downtown Searsport businesses? The library and the Head of the Bay Business Association invite everyone to support our local businesses. Winter is a great time to visit Searsport, with plenty of parking and no Route 1 detour! The First Congregational Church is having their annual Chocolate Fest with delicious treats, also on Saturday, Feb. 10.
For more information, call the library at 20-7548-2303 or email [email protected]. Carver Memorial Library is located at 12 Union Street, on the corner of Mortland Avenue in Searsport. The sale will be held at Mermaid Plaza, 1 East Main Street.
