Two suspects have been taken into custody following an apparent drive-by shooting in Wells, the latest in a series of incidents in which shots have been fired at houses in southern Maine.
Police said the drive-by shooting occurred on Bald Hill Road just before noon on Tuesday.
No one was hurt, and police have not released the names of the suspects.
Police are continuing to investigate but said they believe this was an isolated incident that poses no threat to the public.
The York County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating a series of recent drive-by shootings in the towns of Lebanon and Acton.
Shots were fired at a home on Richardson Drive in Lebanon on Jan. 4, Jan. 28, and Feb. 2,
On Feb. 3, shots were fired at a home on Sanborn Road in Acton.
No one was hurt in those shootings.
