WATERVILLE — Swish Indoor Golf has opened its cutting-edge golf simulator facility at the Hathaway Creative Center in Waterville. The simulator is designed to welcome golfers of all skill levels and offer an unparalleled golf experience paired with food & beverage options.
“Swish Indoor Golf is pleased to announce that our doors have officially opened for business; what started as a dream has now become a reality for Sarah and I, and we couldn’t be happier to share this experience with the Central Maine community”, cites founder and owner Nicholas Pelotte. ”Our introduction to the Central Maine Growth Council (CMGC) and the available Economic Recovery Implementation Hub (ERIH) funding opportunity proved transformative. This support has become instrumental in elevating Swish Indoor Golf to new heights while fostering our business growth and resilience.”
Beyond the golfing simulation, patrons can enjoy various social activities all under one roof. Unlike other facilities, Swish provides a one-stop destination for golf, relaxation, and entertainment. Grant funding from Central Maine Growth Council’s Economic Recovery Implementation Hub program supporting local economic recovery following the pandemic, allowed the facility to secure top-of-the-line indoor golf launch monitors and state-of-the-art projectors. These technological investments will provide an unmatched and immersive golfing experience. Food and beverage will be forthcoming.
“Swish Indoor Golf is representative of the confluence of entrepreneurship, recreation, and technology we are seeing more often in Central Maine and showcases the interplay between business innovation and community engagement” states Central Maine Growth Council Assistant Director of Economic Development and Strategic Projects Gabe Gauvin. “The inclusion of state-of-the-art technology by Swish elevates our resilience locally and demonstrates the important role strategic business support programs like our ERIH Grants play in molding the character and place making initiatives in Waterville’s downtown district.”
With the opening of Swish Indoor Golf, Waterville’s downtown continues to expand its recreational and community assets. Beyond the immersive golfing experience designed for golfers of all skill levels, Swish’s presence will expand the offerings of the Hathaway Creative Center ahead of additional investment and housing development at the abutting Lockwood Mill project. The opening of Swish Indoor Golf promises to be a catalyst for an array of engaging experiences that will captivate downtown visitors.
“Swish brings an exciting and innovative golfing experience and contributes to the dynamic energy of our downtown; we look forward to the positive impact Swish will have on local business, entertainment, and the overall appeal of Waterville,” states Waterville City Manager Bryan Kaenrath. “This addition aligns with our economic development strategy and supports an inviting environment for residents and visitors alike. We extend our warmest welcome to Swish and anticipate the valuable contributions they will make to the heart of Waterville.”
Swish’s hours of operation will be Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. All simulator times can be booked online at http://www.swishindoorgolf.com or by calling 207-616-3737.
