Gunfire exchanged in drive-by shooting in Portland

A black Lexus pulled up alongside a small sedan pulled over on Taft Avenue about 7:13 p.m. when the Lexus’ occupants opened fire, according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.

The occupant of the sedan then returned fired before the Lexus sped away and turned onto Godfrey Street and went toward Josslyn Street, Nadeau said Wednesday.

The shooting remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
