A man from Maine died this weekend after falling during a hike in Arizona.
The 79-year-old man, who was visiting from North Berwick, was hiking Pyramid Trail in Sedona with his wife on Saturday, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
Witnesses said he was struggling on the hike before he fell.
They said he appeared to slip and fell 30 to 35 feet, hitting his head multiple times.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death is being ruled accidental.
He has yet to be identified.
