The 2nd annual “To Warm a Winter’s Night” — an evening of live music in support of Downeast Community Partners’ crisis heating fund, known as “THAW” — is coming to The Grand in Ellsworth on Feb. 24. This year’s benefit includes the live auction of a heat pump donated by Dave’s World during the concert’s intermission.
Performers Chris Ross, Golden Oak, and The Crown Vics will bring together community support for seniors and families struggling to stay warm this winter.
Darling’s Auto Mall GMC Buick, Machias Savings Bank, and The Reny’s Charitable Foundation are presenting sponsors of the event. Star 97.7’s Sonnie Shepard will emcee, and Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce Executive Director P.J. Keenan will live-auction a Samsung Windfree 2.0 heat pump during intermission. Silent auction items ranging from a night for two at the Bar Harbor Inn, to jewelry and artisan originals from around the state, will be available for bid. A preview of the silent auction is available on DCP’s website http://www.downeastcommunitypartners.com
Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for bidding on silent auction items. Music starts at 6:30 p.m.
