I am in favor of wind power, and look forward to the creation of a port/staging facility in Searsport. But to use a place that has not been despoiled to save the environment reminds me of the famous quote during the Vietnam War about having to “destroy the town to save it.” Mack Point is already industrialized, and the owners want the project.
As we try to save the environment, let’s not destroy it to save it.
