Bangor Christian survived a spirited comeback attempt by Southern Aroostook on Wednesday night and punched its ticket to the Class D North boys basketball title game with a 40-33 victory at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
Coach Charlie Colson’s second-seeded Patriots (17-3) move on to face the winner of Wednesday’s late game between No. 1 Schenck and No. 4 Katahdin in Saturday’s 2:45 p.m. regional championship game in Bangor.
The Warriors of coach Brett Russell finished the season at 13-7.
