A woman allegedly fired a gun on her porch near downtown Lincoln on Thursday.
Laura Burrill, 45, was charged with discharging a firearm near a dwelling and reckless conduct with a firearm, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
Burrill allegedly fired a .25-caliber handgun from the porch of her Katahdin Avenue home.
That prompted police to block off the intersection of West Broadway and Katahdin Avenue. Police found Burrill still outside her home and placed her under arrest.
Burrill reportedly admitted to firing the gun because she was frustrated over something that happened between her dog and a neighbor’s dog, according to police.
The shooting remains under investigation, and police said additional charges are possible.
