Two people were displaced and one was injured after a fire destroyed a single-family home in Holden early Saturday morning.
The blaze was reported just after 5 a.m. at a single-wide mobile home on 904 Eastern Ave., according to Assistant Chief Nate Hastings of the Holden Fire Department.
Firefighters found heavy smoke and flames when they arrived, and put out the fire with assistance from several other area communities, Hastings said. The home was a total loss.
One of the two people living there suffered minor injuries and was able to drive himself to the hospital, according to Hastings, who did not know the nature of the injuries.
The state fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause.
