WATERVILLE, Maine — Police say they found a dead person inside a bus in the Waterville Junior High School parking lot.
The Waterville Police Department said they got a call around 4:30 a.m. on Monday reporting there was a person slumped over the steering wheel of a bus in the parking lot of the junior high school.
Officers responded and found a deceased person inside the bus.
The Maine Office of Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting an autopsy.
The death remains under investigation. However, police say foul play is not suspected at this time, and there is no current threat to the public.
The person’s name has not yet been released.
Due to the death, Waterville Public Schools were closed on Monday.
No other information has been released as of Monday afternoon.
