A 19-year-old remains in critical condition after a Monday morning crash on Interstate 95 in Augusta.
Jack Duncan of Newcastle was driving north in a silver 2003 Toyota Tacoma on I-95, near mile marker 113, about 7:27 a.m. when he went off the road into the median where he hit a tree, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Duncan was taken to MaineGeneral Hospital in Augusta, where he was being treated for life-threatening injuries. He was later airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he remained in critical condition on Tuesday.
Moss said speed and inclement weather and road conditions are factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
