ORONO — The Courageous Steps Project is pleased to return its signature Unified Basketball Fun Day Festival Saturday, March 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Orono High School. This event will feature high school teams from Orono, Old Town, Brewer, Hampden, Hermon, Ellsworth, MDI, and Dexter.
Admission will be free for seniors, $3 for students, $5 for adults, and $8 for families. Admission covers the entire day-long festival. There will also be a 50/50 raffle throughout the day. Cash and checks only accepted at admission and for the 50/50 raffle.
“We are looking forward to another great weekend of basketball for the student athletes and our supporters,” said Founder & Chairman/CEO Connor Archer. “Our volunteers, refs, teams, and supporters are all excited to come and be a part of this special day again for all to enjoy,” adds Archer.
The Courageous Steps Project has had a great start to 2024. From reorganization of programming, to creating new partnerships, every step is being taken. “We will continue to think in unique and innovative ways to better support our mission and vision for years to come in Maine and beyond,” said Archer.
