A pedestrian was killed Tuesday morning in a Phippsburg parking lot.
A pickup truck was backing up in the parking lot of Bisson’s Center Store on Main Road about 8 a.m. when it struck the pedestrian, police told News Center Maine.
The pedestrian’s identity is not being released at this time. The Maine medical examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy, according to the TV station.
Speed isn’t considered a factor, according to News Center Maine, but the death remains under investigation.
