WESTBROOK — Discover Downtown Westbrook, a Main Street community, is hosting the 5th Annual Winterfest on Saturday, March 2 at Riverbank Park. The rain date for this event is Sunday, March 3.
Westbrook Winterfest is one of Discover Downtown Westbrook’s most popular events, with nearly 2,000 people from around the Greater Portland Area in attendance last year. The goal is to bring the community together for outdoor activities and celebrate Maine’s winter season. People of all ages can enjoy this event.
This year will feature the same great activities including: inflatable bounce houses, yard games, goats, Zumba, free s’mores roasting, a photo booth, a caricaturist, and Maker’s Market. New activities in 2024 include ice carving and snowshoeing (weather dependent). Demonstrations and performances will take place throughout the day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Food and drinks are available to purchase from Main Street businesses, as well as local food trucks and a BBQ from the American Legion & Lions Club.
To get excited about this event, people are invited to explore Westbrook through the Winter Bucket List Challenge, where participants complete various tasks around downtown Westbrook such as trying new foods, locating landmarks, and more. They can then submit the list and enter to win a gift card to a local business.
Discover Downtown Westbrook is seeking volunteers for this event. Volunteers will be needed to assist with setup/breakdown, crowd control, and more. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact [email protected].
