Portland police are asking for help with solving a death investigation.
Just after 1 a.m. Saturday, police were called to St. John Street for a report of a “disturbance” with a person injured, the department said in a statement.
Officers found a 30-year-old male suffering from serious injuries. The man was transported to Maine Medical Center, where he later died. An autopsy will be performed in the coming days.
Police do not believe there is any threat to the public and are urging anyone with information to call them at 207-874-8479.
