Three people have been left with injuries after a targeted stabbing in the market area of a Greater Manchester town.
A manhunt is under way after the attack in Murray Road, Bury, and officers remain on the scene.
Police say the injuries are not thought to be life-threatening but they are appealing for information.
The Greater Manchester force said no arrests have been made so far and an investigation has been launched.
Detective Chief Inspector John Charlton, of GMP’s Bury division, said: “We believe this incident was a targeted attack and thankfully no one has suffered life-threatening injuries.
“There is not a threat to the wider public and we believe this was an isolated incident.
“You may see heightened patrols in the local area – don’t be alarmed by this. Our officers are there to help, support and reassure the wider community.”
They appealed for anyone who may have relevant footage from CCTV, mobile, Ring doorbell or dashcam, to get in touch.
