A Bangor man was sentenced on Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Bangor for possessing controlled substances with the intent to distribute and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Allen Henry, 49, was sentenced to 168 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty May 23, 2023.
According to court documents cited by the U.S. Department of Justice in a news release, police responded to a call for service in May 2022 and found Henry in a parked car.
At the time, a warrant was out for his arrest and he had active bail conditions from a state charge that prohibited him from using or possessing alcohol or illegal drugs. He also had a 2013 state conviction that prohibited him from possessing firearms.
Police found more than 400 grams of fentanyl, approximately 30 grams of crack cocaine and a gun in Henry’s car, according to the DOJ.
