AUBURN, Maine — Police are investigating after a reported carjacking in the Auburn Walmart parking lot.
The incident reportedly happened Tuesday night in the Walmart parking lot on Mount Auburn Avenue.
According to the Sun Journal, the victim told police they were approached by a man asking for a ride. Shortly afterward, the man reportedly sprayed them with what they think was pepper spray.
The victim then says the suspect assaulted them and stole their car.
The vehicle in question is a blue 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer with a Maine license plate 253JFB.
According to the Sun Journal, the suspect is described as a white man with facial hair. He was wearing dark clothing and a dark-colored hat.
