The driver of a tractor trailer that crashed on Interstate 95 in Bangor Thursday morning was driving too fast for the winter road conditions, Maine State Police said in a news release.
The crash happened at about 9 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near exit 184.
The driver, Edward Ross, 34, or Lawrenceville, Georgia, lost control of the tractor trailer causing it to roll over. Ross was not injured. The tractor trailer was carrying french fries, according to police.
Exits 185 to 187 were closed for several hours. The highway has since been reopened except for one of the southbound lanes, which remains closed as workers remove the truck. The lane is expected to reopen in two hours, according to the news release sent at 4:38 p.m.
