A fire Thursday night destroyed a home in Searsmont and injured two residents.
The fire was reported shortly before 7 p.m. at a home on Ghent Road, according to the PenBay Pilot. It took area firefighters about three hours to extinguish the blaze.
At least one of the injured residents was taken to the hospital, although the extent of their injuries isn’t immediately known, according to News Center Maine.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
