A wanted man, who was convicted of homicide in Pennsylvania, has been arrested in Auburn.
Just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, police pulled over a vehicle and the passenger, later identified as 39-year-old James Gaines of New York, gave them a false name, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Gaines was out on parole for homicide in Pennsylvania and he had a warrant for his arrest for a parole violation, Auburn police said.
Gaines is being held at the Androscoggin County Jail without bail and is expected to be sent back to Pennsylvania.
