Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have settled their divorce six months after announcing their split.
According to documents obtained by TMZ on Friday, February 9, the former couple both waived their rights to alimony, and they will reportedly “keep the assets they accumulated individually over the course of their seven years together.”
In July 2023, Manganiello, 47, and Vergara, 51, who wed in November 2015, announced their separation.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the pair wrote in a joint statement posted via Instagram at the time. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

Manganiello filed for divorce from Vergara on July 19, 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. The actor listed the date of separation as July 2, 2023. In August 2023, Vergara asked the court to enforce the former couple’s prenuptial agreement and for assets including artwork, jewelry and “other personal effects” to remain under her ownership.
Vergara has been candid about her divorce amid an ongoing press tour for the Netflix miniseries Griselda. She acknowledged during an interview on CBS Sunday Morning last month that she knew there would be questions about her split from Manganiello.
“You’re out there and people know that’s part of being a celebrity,” the Modern Family alum said. “I knew it was gonna happen. You can’t hide those things.”
She noted that she was “surprised” by “respectful” coverage her uncoupling received. “It wasn’t bad. I think, you know, I have to say the press was very respectful and very nice,” Vergara continued. “They kind of just said what it was and, and that was it. And, you know, I’ve been moving on.”
