BUXTON – Saco Valley Land Trust conserves over 1,200 acres of land in the Lower Saco River Valley for ecology, agriculture, silviculture, education, and recreation.
Moses Woodman Preserve features 1.5 miles of trails, scenic vistas of the Saco River, and many interesting wildlife species. The property is located at 405 Simpson Road and is 8 miles outside of downtown Saco, just over the Buxton border.
SVLT manages 3 total miles of trails. The land trust needs volunteers to help maintain the properties by monitoring the boundaries and keeping the trails clear. Join SVLT volunteers and staff on Sunday, April 14 from 1-4 p.m. at Moses Woodman Preserve for a spring trail cleanup!
It’s time to get to work and make sure these paths are clear from debris after several winter storms. We will be lopping branches, sawing fallen logs, and removing obstacles. Please bring your own tools including hand saws, loppers, work gloves, trimmers, chainsaws, and any other trail tools.
