SOUTH PORTLAND — Electric Bike Cafe is proud to announce the launch of the “A-MAY-ZING RACE”, a month-long charitable bike ride event taking place throughout May. Participants will have the opportunity to pledge the number of miles they intend to ride and raise funds (per mile) for the charity of their choice. The winner of this exciting month-long ride will be awarded a brand-new bike as the grand prize.
“This event is all about combining the joy of biking with giving back to our community,” says Thaddeus St. John, co-founder of Electric Bike Cafe.
**Simple Rules:**
1. Choose a charity, preferably Maine-based.
2. Pledge the number of miles you will ride in May.
3. Rally support from friends, neighbors, and even strangers to donate to your ride.
4. Sign up in person at 93 Main St South Portland, Maine 04106.
5. Hit the road, keep track of your miles, and bring in your receipt to the charity you chose
6. The winner (most miles) of the contest will receive the grand prize of a new YUBA Cargo bike!
