A calf is missing from a home on outer Essex Street in Bangor.
Bangor resident Tracey Cammack wrote Monday morning on Facebook that her calf, Penny, wandered away. Penny, who is about 4 months old, joined Cammack’s family on Saturday.
She noticed the calf was missing around 5:45 a.m. and notified the city’s dispatch center, she said.
“We have been out looking all morning,” she said.
Nobody had reported any sightings of the calf as of noon Monday, Cammack said. She is asking anyone who sees Penny, who has an ear tag with the No. 109, to message her on Facebook or call the dispatch center.
Bangor police are aware of the situation, though spokesperson Sgt. Jason McAmbley did not have any details to provide around 11:30 a.m. He noted the city’s animal control officer was responding to something, though he could not confirm whether it was related to the missing calf.
