A calf that went missing from a property on Essex Street in Bangor is home, its owner said Tuesday morning.
Bangor resident Tracey Cammack said Monday that her calf, Penny, wandered away around 5:45 a.m. Penny, who is about 4 months old, joined Cammack’s family on Saturday.
Cammack’s neighbors found Penny near a pond not far from her property around 6:30 p.m., Cammack said Tuesday morning. She said her family had searched the area for most of the day but didn’t come across the calf for about 13 hours.
“She just happened to start mooing while they were down there and they heard it,” Cammack said. “We spoiled her with treats when she got back.”
