An Old Town man has pleaded guilty to downloading child pornography.
Matthew Podlaski, 40, entered his plea Thursday at U.S. District Court in Bangor, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
Between October and December 2022, Podlaski searched online for and downloaded images of sexually abused children, including under age 12, the U.S. attorney’s office said.
Investigators seized 14 devices from Podlaski, including laptops, flash drives and external harddrives, where the images were stored, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
Podlaski faces up to 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000, as well as five years of supervised release.
He will be sentenced at a later date.
