Eight people have died and another eight were critically injured after a bus carrying farm workers crashed and overturned in Florida.
A 2010 International Bus transporting farm workers and a 2001 Ford Ranger truck were involved in the crash near Dunnellon, at 6.35am local time on Tuesday, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said.
The crash site was on State Road 40, about 160m west of SW 148 Court, about 45 miles south of Gainesville, NBC News reported.
The two vehicles hit the side of each other and the bus left the road, went through a fence and overturned, FHP said.
A total of 37 needed hospital treatment – eight of whom are in a critical condition, the Marion County Fire Rescue confirmed to NBC News.
