A handgun was fired late last week inside the Thomaston Walmart.
A man and woman inside the store Friday when the woman reached into a pocketbook and the handgun went off, according to the Courier Gazette.
The couple then left the store.
The bullet went into the floor, the Courier Gazette reported.
Police identified the man when he returned to Walmart on Monday, and he identified the woman for officers, according to the newspaper.
No charges have been filed yet, and the case has been referred to the district attorney’s office.
