A pedestrian was taken to a Portland hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car on Tuesday night.
The 62-year-old was walking along Riverside Street about 10:08 p.m. when a 20-year-old woman driving a car struck him, according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.
The man was taken to Maine Medical Center, where he was being treated for life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, and Nadeau said no charges have yet been filed.
