Utility workers found what they believed to be human skeletal remains in Gorham on Tuesday.
The bones were found in the vicinity of 76 Longfellow Road. The workers reported the find to Gorham Police, Maine State Police said in a news release on Tuesday afternoon.
The remains were brought to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta. No additional information was immediately available.
Gorham and state police are continuing to investigate, according to state police.
