Police have converged near the Route 1 bridge in Baileyville.
The bridge was closed Wednesday morning on the Calais side of the Baileyville Big Stop, according to the Washington County Regional Communication Center.
Traffic coming off Route 9, also known as the Airline Road, will not be able to turn right, while traffic coming from Calais will not have access to Route 9, dispatch center said Wednesday morning.
The bridge was closed for what was described as a “police incident.”
No additional information was immediately available.
