One person is dead after a crash on South Main Street Friday evening.
The crash occurred just after 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Witham Road when a 2004 Volkswagen Beetle attempting to turn onto South Maine Street crashed into a person driving a 2010 Kawasaki motorcycle, said deputy chief of police Timothy A. Cougle.
The motorcyclist was killed in the crash. The roadway was closed for several hours while police investigated the crash.
Cougle said the identity of the deceased is not being released until family has been notified.
