UNION — The Union Sestercentennial committee is excited to announce the Antiques and Collectibles Auction event as part of the 250th Anniversary celebration activities. Bruce Gamage, Jr., owner of Gamage Antiques in Rockland, is the auctioneer. The auction will be Sunday, July 21, with a preview beginning at 11 a.m. and bidding starting at 1 p.m. in the Blueberry Acres building at the Union Fairgrounds.
The proceeds will be shared between the Union Historical Society and the Mathews Museum. Gamage noted, “The Sestercentennial is a big celebration; we want to feature Union and its history over the last 250 years. We are especially looking for items that relate to Union and the area.”
Anyone can donate nice quality items in good condition, old or new, to the auction. There is no limitation on size for donated items, however, no electronics or items made with particle board will be accepted. For more information on how to donate an item or to help volunteer with the auction itself, contact Sharon Caron at [email protected] or by phone/text at 207-975-2646
The auction will be held in the Blueberry Acres building on the Union Fairgrounds.
