A man was airlifted to a Bangor hospital on Sunday after his moped flipped in Clinton.
The 20-year-old was driving the moped south on Hill Road about 3:44 p.m. when he may have suffered a “serious medical event,” according to the Clinton Police Department.
He veered off the road toward a ditch and flipped his moped.
The man was unresponsive when first responders arrived at the scene.
He was taken by ambulance to Thayer Medical Center in Waterville and then airlifted to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where he remained in critical condition on Monday, according to Clinton police.
The crash remains under investigation.
